私たち

2013｜ドローイング

TERATOTERA祭り@西荻窪 TEMPO de ART 2013に参加した時に制作したもので、西荻窪にあるFALLという雑貨屋で展示したドローイング作品

 

小説のなかに出てくる「私」という文字をすべて線でつなぐと、さまざまな図形が出てくる。

小説の文字の並びによって、ページごとにそれぞれ違った形が浮かび上がる。

ある一定のルールに基づいてドローイングしているけれど、バリエーションが生まれている状態というものに興味があった。

Us, 2013

 

These works on paper were exhibited in “FALL”, a general store in Nishiogikubo. It was made when I participated in the TERATOTERA festival @
Nishiogikubo TEMPO de ART, 2013.

 

The geometric forms had been drawn on pages from a novel based a simple set of rules. I drew a dot on all of the kanji characters that represented the word “me”. I connected these dots with lines. By following these rules, the rhetoric on every page of the novel helped form a new drawing.
